Your AI, on your terms.

Beehive Cluster is built so your conversations stay on your Mac, and nothing reaches a cloud service until you say yes.

The short version

No account

There is nothing to sign up for. We don't know who you are.

No analytics, no ads

No tracking, no advertising, no crash reports sent to us. The App Store label reads Data Not Collected.

Stored on your Mac

Conversations, memory, documents and settings stay in the app's own folder on your Mac.

Cloud only with your yes

Each destination asks once, keeps receipts, and can be revoked at any time.

How a message reaches the cloud

Your Mac

Local models answer here. Chats, memory and API keys stay here.

Your consent

The first send to a destination shows a card that names it. No yes, no send.

The service you chose

Gets the message and the context it needs, under its own privacy policy. A receipt stays on your Mac.

What stays on your Mac

  • Conversations, drafts, memory, library and settings, in one local database inside the app's sandbox.
  • Files the app makes for you, the documents you import and the models you download.
  • API keys, bot tokens and device passwords, in the macOS Keychain. They are not written to files or logs.
  • Logs and crash reports. They stay on your disk and are never uploaded.
  • A log of device actions (which device, which action, who asked and the outcome), removed after 180 days.

What can leave, and only when you allow it

The app sends data off your Mac only to services you choose, or to a machine you point it at. Before the first use of each destination, a consent card names it and asks you.

  • AI providers you add with your own key receive your messages and the context needed for the reply.
  • Web pages a model asks to read are fetched after you approve. The site sees your IP address, like any visit.
  • Web search with your own key, Telegram or ntfy if you turn them on, and devices outside your home network.
  • Model downloads when you press Download. The app first tells you which host the file comes from.

Each of these services works under its own privacy policy. We are not part of that exchange and can't see it.

Coding agents you connect

Claude Code, Codex and other coding tools are run by their own vendors. What they read, including what they take from this app, they send to their own providers under those vendors' terms. The app's local endpoint is off by default and reachable from your Mac only.

Camera, microphone and devices

  • Camera: only when you turn a camera on. The window shows Camera in use with a Stop button. Pictures are processed in memory and not recorded, unless you set up a watch that saves them.
  • Microphone: only while you hold or start voice input. Speech becomes text on your Mac, or on a speech server you added yourself.
  • Devices: experimental and off by default. Actions like door locks are Never by AI, and an AI request runs only if you approve it.

Your controls

  • Settings, Privacy and data shows what is stored, every cloud destination you allowed with a Revoke button, and a way to delete everything.
  • Export your library as one zip of Markdown files at any time.
  • See which memories a reply used, undo any of them, and keep automatic memory off (it is off by default).

This website

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from other companies: the fonts, scripts, pictures and film all come from this site. Our host, Cloudflare, processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
